A beginning......

These feet are made for walking. But first they'll go on some long plane rides.

I leave San Diego Monday July 6 at 7:55 am on American Airlines, fly into JFK/NY then catch a direct flight to Zurich arriving Tuesday morning at 7am (their time - 9 hours later than PST) in hopes that adjustment to the time change will be complete by check-in at EGS the following Saturday evening at 5pm. So, I'll wander for a few days feast my eyes on outstanding art collections and exhibits and lovely countryside and then wind my way south to the alpine village where I'll begin 23 days of classes in the company of total strangers, well, except for the Aimster who is in a different class so we'll be catching up on walks and hikes or at lunch now and then I imagine.

Night 1 - GOLDENES SCHWERT 14 Marktgasse Zurich CH-8001

Night 2 - IBIS HOTEL LAUSANNE CENTRE 20 rue du Maupas - 1004 - Lausanne, Switzerland in the heart of the old city where I can indulge in speaking French everywhere! And see the lovely Lac Leman and see the COLLECTION DE L'ART BRUT which many, many people say is not to be missed.

Night 3 - my room for the next 26 days somewhere in a chalet run by HOTEL ALLALIN Saas Fe, Switzerland

Night 6 - School check-in 5pm

Last day of school is August 2 and I'll get on a bus then a train back north to Zurich, spend a night at the BAHNHOFF GLATTBRUGG close to the train station to catch a 10am plane Monday August 3 back through JFK/NY and arrive in San Diego about 9pm. My own bed will look soooooooo good!
